Job summary

A global leader in manufacturing is seeking a Global Quality Leader to drive change and improvements in the quality function. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in semiconductors or advanced electronics, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science. This role requires a strategic yet hands-on leader with Six-Sigma Black Belt Certification. The position is full-time and based in Houston, Texas, with up to 25% travel.

Job description

Pacific International has been retained by a global leader in the manufacturing space currently navigating a transformation. With transformation at the forefront of their organizational strategy, they have retained Pacific on a search for a Global Quality Leader to lead the quality function for a key business segment.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, yet hands‑on leader who can drive change and improvements across the global quality organization.

Essential Functions

Develop and execute a quality strategy and roadmap for the business, aligned with both business objectives and the company’s global quality architecture.
Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the business.
Ensure business quality objectives support and advance the company’s overall goals for quality excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with company-wide quality leaders to share best practices, benchmark performance, and drive harmonization of processes and standards.
Translate Voice of Customer and emerging trends into actionable quality objectives and improvement initiatives for the business, while ensuring alignment with company-wide standards.
Establish quality requirements for new and existing products, raw materials, manufacturing and testing process.
Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing quality team, fostering talent pipelines and succession planning in alignment with company standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science highly preferred
Expected to have 10‑15 yrs experience in manufacturing environment relating to semiconductors, advanced electronics or semiconductor materials.
Six‑Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred.
Proven track record in leading business or multi‑site quality initiatives and teams.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence cross‑functional teams and drive change and deliver results in a global matrix environment.
Deep knowledge of QMS (and applicable standards: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100), regulatory compliance, and auditing practices.
Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of time
