Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead the site's QMS, manage a small quality team, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires active floor involvement, partnering with operations, engineering, and customers to solve quality issues and improve processes.

You will lead audits including AS9100, support AS/ISO, and champion initiatives such as Zero Defects and automated inspection technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Experience leading or supervising teams (1+ year).
  • Strong root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small quality team (1 QE, 2 Technicians).
  • Hands-on leader on the manufacturing floor supporting production and quality initiatives.
  • Drive quality improvements through root cause analysis, SPC, defect reduction and CI.
  • Act as primary contact for customer quality concerns, coordinating investigations and corrective actions.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including AS9100 certification activities.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to ensure process compliance and product quality.
  • Support projects including Zero Defects, CI, SPC expansion, and automated visual inspection deployment.

Insight Global is seeking a hands‑on Quality Manager to lead the client's site's Quality Management System (QMS) while managing a small quality team and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is not a purely administrative leadership role—the ideal candidate will be actively engaged on the manufacturing floor, partnering with operations, engineering, and customers to solve quality issues and improve processes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a small quality team (1 Quality Engineer, 2 Quality Technicians).
  • Serve as a hands‑on leader, spending significant time on the manufacturing floor supporting production and quality initiatives.
  • Drive quality improvements through root cause analysis, SPC, defect reduction, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer quality concerns, coordinating investigations, corrective actions, and communication.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including upcoming AS9100 certification activities.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to ensure process compliance, product quality, and successful implementation of quality initiatives.
  • Support key projects including Zero Defects implementation, quality systems improvements, SPC expansion, and deployment of automated visual inspection technology.

Skills and Requirements
Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of quality experience within a manufacturing, industrial, engineered products or similar environment
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong root cause analysis experience using tools such as:
  • 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC
  • Experience supporting AS9100, ISO 9001, IATF
Plusses:
  • ASQ certifications such as:
  • Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE)
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
