Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality program for our defense-focused production environment in Michigan.

The role directs the Quality Department and ensures production quality through strategic objectives and KPI-driven improvements. The ideal candidate will have a engineering/business background, 8+ years in QA roles with management experience, and strong experience with the PLEX ERP system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or Business from a four-year college or university.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Manager, or comparable role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Proficiency navigating and utilizing the PLEX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Experience overseeing quality control, quality assurance, inspection, testing, and corrective action activities
  • Ability to prepare and present technical and program information to management
  • Ability to lead, train, and manage Quality Department personnel
  • Must meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and maintain quality objectives aligned with corporate policies and goals
  • Utilize KPIs to track performance and implement required corrective and improvement activities
  • Manage and drive the Corrective/Preventive Action process
  • Develop standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
  • Oversee analysis, inspection, design, testing, and/or integration activities to assure product and component quality
  • Review design documentation, vendor quality manuals, company quality records, and quality data for compliance with requirements
  • Represent the company during customer visits, surveys, meetings, and presentations and communicate significant quality issues to management
  • Direct inspection and testing activities and maintain knowledge of applicable government and industry quality codes and standards
  • Lead Quality Department employees, including hiring, training, work assignments, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employee issue resolution

Job description

The Quality Manager plans, coordinates, and directs the quality program designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of production products consistent with established standards. This position leads the Quality Department and oversees quality activities personally or through subordinate supervisors.
