Job summary

Technique, Inc. seeks a Quality Management System Manager at our Jackson, Michigan facility to design, implement, and maintain our QA framework.

You will drive continuous improvement, own customer-facing quality performance, and lead the Quality department to ensure product quality across fabrication and assembly. With 10+ years in production quality and AIAG toolkit experience, you will oversee audits, PPAP, and supplier quality, while mentoring a team on QMS compliance and process excellence.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering or related field preferred
• 10+ years of related quality experience in production manufacturing
• ASQ membership and CMQ/OE preferred; CQE, CQA, or CWI a plus
• ISO 9001 knowledge required; AS9100 and/or IATF 16949 is a benefit
• Fluency in AIAG core tools: APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC

Responsibilities

• Lead customer quality concerns and RCCA using 8D, 5 Why
• Coordinate customer source inspections and drive corrective actions
• Manage customer complaint response timelines and CAPA
• Own quality KPIs and report QMS effectiveness to upper management
• Oversee daily QMS operations and drive continuous improvement per ISO 9001
• Lead internal audits and prepare for external certification/audits
• Oversee PPAP, First Article submissions, and APQP phase gates
• Coach Quality team; develop engineers, inspectors, and auditors
