Job summary

Technique is seeking a Quality Technician 1 at our Jackson, Michigan facility. The role reports to the Quality Manager and focuses on inspecting parts, measuring compliance, and maintaining quality records to support continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have an associate’s degree in engineering technology and 3–5 years’ hands-on quality control experience, with working knowledge of GD&T and ISO 9000. Proficiency with PolyWorks, CMM software, and precision measuring tools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred in engineering technology or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Three to five years of hands-on quality control experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ISO 9000 environment; experience with inspection equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure parts to ensure compliance with engineering requirements using precision measurement equipment.
• Create and maintain quality records and metrics for quality assurance.
• Assist with dispositioning nonconforming product and issuing Quality Alerts as needed.
• Develop procedures and coordinate quality system compliance.
• Lead quality and continuous improvement projects and work with customers and vendors on related issues.
• Program and operate PolyWorks and other CMM software; use handheld measurement devices.
• Prepare process inspection plans and maintain job documentation in E2.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and multi-task across concurrent projects.
