Job summary

Technique’s Jackson, Michigan facility seeks a Quality Technician 2 to perform precision inspection, lead quality training, and manage PPAP packages. You will execute complex CMM programs with PolyWorks, handle calibration, and drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on quality control, strong GD&T knowledge, and experience with SPC, GAGEpack, and 8D/5-Why/Fishbone tools. Eligible to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering technology or related field; equivalent combination considered
• Three to five years of hands-on quality control experience in manufacturing or engineering
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to teach it to others
• Experience in ISO 9001 environment and quality systems
• Ability to write and operate PolyWorks programs for CMMs
• Experience with PPAP submissions and CARs using 8D/5-Why/Fishbone tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to train others
• Willing to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Independently complete customer inspection requirements and document results
• Manage quality plans and product containment; evaluate nonconforming product
• Lead quality training for new associates on metrology tools and inspection techniques
• Assemble and submit PPAP and first article inspections and related docs
• Perform final, in-process, and first-piece inspections using blueprints
• Program and operate CMM with PolyWorks; update CPCS and software as needed
• Maintain calibration programs with GAGEpack and assist with calibration of tools
• Provide inspection reports and dimensional feedback to teams
• Complete corrective actions and SPC studies using 8D/5-Why/Fishbone and Minitab
