Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Specialist to provide comprehensive quality support for customers, manufacturing, and engineering. You will lead continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, develop manufacturing processes, and drive root-cause analysis to ensure product quality and process reliability.

The role requires collaboration across functions, experience with ISO 9001, and strong documentation skills, with an onsite work model in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) with 1+ year manufacturing experience.
• Associate degree with 3+ years manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma with 5+ years manufacturing experience in machining, winding, or assembly.
• Strong technical aptitude to read, interpret, and revise engineering drawings and documentation.
• Knowledge of SPC, ISO 9001 standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP/BUS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
• Develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes, standard work, training programs, engineering changes, and process controls to support production excellence.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, capability studies, and process compliance to ensure product quality and process reliability.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to solve manufacturing challenges, support production operations, and achieve plant and company objectives.
