Job summary

Thermal Care, a PiovanGroup company, currently seeks a Quality Manager to lead the quality function from its Niles, Illinois facility. The role focuses on maintaining the Quality Management System, leading audits, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate possesses strong manufacturing quality expertise, leadership and project management abilities, and the capacity to work cross-functionally with purchasing and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or related field) and/or ten (10)+ years of direct work experience without formal education
• Position typically expects up to six (6) years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of position
• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality techniques
• Demonstrate leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings
• Quality Management System auditing experience
• Experience as an ISO Management Representative is required
• Demonstrate leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
• Must have a positive attitude and foster a continuous improvement environment
• Ability to function in a team environment
• Effective verbal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversees the evaluation of finished products for quality and reliability
• Lead internal and external audits, corrective/preventative action systems, and Management Review meetings as ISO management representative
• Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System to ensure the levels of quality established through company goals and customer expectations are met
• Collaborates with purchasing on the development and implementation of a supplier management strategy
• Collaborates with engineering on new product development and design review for quality issues
• Travels to suppliers to participate/lead in the function of Quality Liaison
• Analyze and resolve process quality issues and needs as they relate to an organization’s process performance and adhering to quality requirements
