Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Quality Manager to develop, implement and maintain ISO 9001/FSC/SFI/GMP quality systems and lead internal audits to support continual improvement. You will partner with the Management Team to set goals, define KPIs, manage quality records, and drive process improvements while ensuring safety and compliance.

This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, or industrial packaging or related manufacturing field.
• +10 years of experience in TQM, ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Process Improvement.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/ISO/SFI/FSC/GMP; Quality Management Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (verbal and written).
• High energy, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Formulates strategies, plans and budgets for the QA department and monitors performance to meet plant goals.
• Maintains ISO 9001/FSC/SFI/GMP compliance and conducts internal audits.
• Leads process improvements and recommends actions to Management.
• Oversees quality records, reports, and supplier requirements per ISO standards.
• Defines KPIs and reports monthly to General Manager.
• Drives training programs for the Quality Assurance team.
