Direct Wire seeks a Quality Manager to lead the Quality function and advance the Quality Management System across operations in a growing U.S. manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive quality, engineering, or technical manufacturing experience with leadership of teams or projects.
• Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Systems, audits, and corrective actions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline; equivalent Quality Management education and experience may be considered.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, inspection methods, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP/QMS systems; Minitab preferred.
• CQE/CMQ-OE certification or Lean/Six Sigma training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Develop the Quality team through coaching, training, and workforce planning.
• Oversee control plans, inspection methods, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, capability analysis, sampling, and lab equipment budgeting.
• Manage nonconforming product, containment, disposition, and escalation of risk; stop shipment when required.
• Lead customer quality activities including complaints, 8D, audits, scorecards, and corrective actions.
• Oversee supplier quality including supplier qualification, audits, and corrective actions.
• Support new-product development, PFMEA, process qualification/validation, and change management.
• Analyze quality metrics and data; recommend and verify corrective actions.
• Set quality objectives and coordinate with production to improve reliability and reduce cost.
• Maintain quality procedures, policies, and QMS documentation.
• Represent Direct Wire with third-party certification providers and industry groups.
