Job summary

Mount Joy Wire seeks an experienced Director of Quality, Technical & Environmental Services to lead several critical technical functions within our specialty wire manufacturing operation.

This role combines hands-on laboratory, environmental compliance, and ISO 9001 leadership with a focus on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and strong collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and senior management.

Qualifications

• Significant quality leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong ISO 9001 knowledge, incl. certification/audits.
• Hands-on experience with industrial wastewater treatment.
• Experience in environmental compliance, permitting and reporting.
• Knowledge of industrial chemical processes and chemical management.
• Experience managing technical, quality, or laboratory personnel.
• Strong root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills.
• Excellent communication with customers, auditors, regulators, staff, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Mount Joy Wire Quality Department and mentor staff.
• Oversee ISO 9001 implementation, audits, and surveillance.
• Manage lab personnel, testing programs, and methods.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and wastewater treatment.
• Analyze process data to drive improvements and resolve issues.
• Interface with customers and regulators on technical and quality matters.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to reduce defects and scrap.
