Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and manage the quality effort across our power district projects. You will report to management on quality performance, oversee QA/QC activities, and liaise with customers, vendors, and subcontractors on quality matters.

Willingness to travel and relocate as needed is required. Base compensation ranges from $77,000 to $86,000 per year with a comprehensive benefits package and a focus on safety under the Nobody Gets Hurt philosophy.

Qualifications

• Four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ field experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.
• Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint; able to learn other software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients as required.
• Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures; take corrective action as needed.
• Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Kiewit/TIC Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization.
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts.
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
