Job summary

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a Quality and Inventory Lead at our Allentown, PA plant to spearhead quality audits, report nonconformances, and respond to customer inquiries. You will direct daily activities of quality auditors within a fulfillment operation, driving organizational efficiency and reliable inventory practices.

Qualifications include a HS Diploma/G.E.D. with ASQ Certified Quality Auditor preferred, plus bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent mathematical skills, detail oriented and computer literate.
• Background in quality and inventory roles.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Willing to overtime and odd shifts as necessary.
• Ability to write, audit, and evaluate procedures and quality/inventory systems for compliance.
• HS Diploma/G.E.D. with ASQ Certified Quality Auditor desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage all inventory transactions, troubleshoot errors and identify root causes and supply possible solutions to Management team.
• Review all inventory including raw goods, identify errors, and direct/follow up on corrections needed.
• Support Inventory Department to improve accuracy and efficiency in all plant-wide inventory processes.
• Accurately generate required month-end reporting promptly.
• Manage and direct physical inventories as needed.
• Ensure all inventory is reported to customers as requested.
• Review and manage aged and obsolete inventory monthly with scheduler and process disposals.
• Establish quality standards to assist appropriate departments with new product development.
• Support all departments with quality concerns and provide customer assistance regarding quality issues, job specifications, customer products, and corrective actions.
• Initiate policies, procedures, and guidelines related to customer quality, product safety, and product legality.
• Support Management with all audits.
• Lead/direct daily activities of shift quality auditors
