Role Purpose:

The Laboratory Technician will perform routine lab and micro analysis on raw materials samples, product samples, both in-process and finished, to ensure quality and specifications are sustained. The role requires high attention to detail and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. The technician will work closely with departments such as Brewing, Batching, and Packaging, operating and maintaining lab equipment according to SOPs.

Accountabilities & Impact:

• Understand processes throughout the facility to assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and dispositioning holds.
• Manage non-conforming products, ensuring they are not released without further analysis and approval from the Quality Manager.
• Develop quality information records and display data clearly and effectively.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment such as Alcolyzer, DMA, pH meters, GC, HPLC, spectrophotometers, etc.
• Calibrate equipment and maintain control charts to ensure proper performance.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to minimize downtime.
• Manage laboratory inventory.
• Participate in HACCP Food Safety Program to ensure product integrity and safety.

Skills & Experiences Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Food Science; minimum 2 years laboratory experience in food, carbonated beverages, or alcohol preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends/holidays.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of good laboratory practices, including sample prep, handling, and record keeping.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
• Effective team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Excel, Microsoft Office, and Word.
• Statistical process control skills and familiarity with statistical analysis software are preferred.
