Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a Quality Supervisor to oversee laboratory functions, support food safety and quality systems, and promote sanitary product manufacture under regulatory specs.

Responsibilities include mentoring lab technicians, developing SOPs, training staff in GMPs, HACCP, and SQF, maintaining equipment calibration, and coordinating quality actions with production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 1-2 years of food industry experience in a Quality Supervisor role, preferred. Dairy industry experience, preferred.
• SQF Practitioner certification and HACCP certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, supervise, coach, and mentor lab technicians.
• Develop and deploy lab standard operating procedures and provide training to lab staff as needed.
• Review COA’s for select incoming materials, and issue COA’s for outgoing shipments as needed.
• Execute the environmental monitoring per program requirements.
• Provide assistance with plant audits (internal/external) as needed.
• Assist with product complaints as needed.
• Assist in the development of the plant annual lab budget.
• Coach and counsel employees in accordance with Saputo’s policies and work rules.
