Wieland North America, Inc. in Montpelier, OH is seeking a Quality Intern to gain hands-on experience within our Quality department, focusing on data-driven improvement in operations, safety, and quality.

This on-site role offers exposure to engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety and metallurgical disciplines. The ideal candidate is a Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering student (sophomore or higher) with a basic understanding of laboratory testing, statistics, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering student, sophomore level or above.
Basic understanding of laboratory operations including chemical, mechanical and metallurgical testing.
Basic understanding of statistics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing data to determine opportunities in operations, safety and quality.
Work directly with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety and metallurgist.
Must be pursuing a degree of Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science.
Background in chemical/metallurgical process control, mechanical and electrical systems and data acquisition.
Commitment to the continuous improvement of plant operations.
All other duties as assigned.
