Job summary

nVent’s Quality Internship will provide the opportunity to support a variety of facets of day to day plant quality support, gaining exposure and valuable development experiences within a global manufacturing organization. This is a 12-week full-time internship during the summer 2027.

Interns are paid $22 hourly for time worked and based out of the Anoka, MN facility, with potential for a subsequent internship or full-time offer based on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics.
• Graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Able to complete a 12-week Full-Time Summer internship May/June-August 2027 in Anoka, MN.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization.
• Energy to listen, desire to learn and adaptability through change.
• Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see tasks through.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of high-quality products through continuous improvement of processes and quality systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality defects.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; make recommendations.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions using 8D, 7-step actions.
• Use statistical analysis software to develop and interpret quality metrics.
• Conduct quality planning activities.
• Develop and execute quality control plans, MRT analyses, and SPC initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
