Job summary

Spectrum Plastics Group is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet company and customer specifications. Responsibilities include sampling, documenting results, and supporting source inspections in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires an HS diploma or GED and experience with measurement equipment such as microscopes, calipers, and gauges. Training on IQ systems and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent; related coursework acceptable.
  • 3–6 months of inspection/gauging experience or coursework.
  • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
  • Proficient with using a microscope.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts visually and dimensionally using micrometer, microscope, optical comparator, gauge pins, caliper, height indicator and scales per Inspection Plans.
  • Perform incoming material sampling inspections per plans.
  • Verify supplier documentation meets incoming material requirements.
  • Execute in-process and final sampling per procedures and document results.
  • Prepare final shipment, source inspection and documentation.
  • Conduct lot transactions using the IQ system.
  • Follow procedures for disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Ensure readiness for source inspection and assist inspectors as needed.
  • Communicate and document inspection results clearly.
  • Follow SOPs and other duties as assigned.
