Quality Inspector - Poway - First Shift - $24/hr

Job Description

The Quality Inspector performs in-process and final visual inspections on circuit boards across multiple stations on a production line. Using a tablet-based checklist, this role verifies that wiring, connectors, and assemblies meet defined quality standards. The position is hands-on, requires constant movement and standing throughout the shift, and relies on attention to detail rather than the use of traditional measurement tools or reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final visual inspections on circuit boards at various stages of the production line.
  • Respond to inspection requests from different production stages, such as mid-line checks, and promptly move to the designated station.
  • Use a tablet to follow detailed inspection instructions and document inspection results accurately.
  • Inspect wiring, connectors, and assembled components by sight and touch to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks without the use of traditional measurement tools, focusing on visual and tactile verification.
  • Rotate among up to 10 different stations on the production line as inspection needs arise.
  • Maintain consistent attention to detail to identify defects, irregularities, or non-conforming parts.
  • Collaborate with production staff to communicate inspection findings and support corrective actions when needed.
  • Follow established quality control and quality assurance procedures throughout the inspection process.
  • Uphold high standards of effort, attitude, and attendance to support reliable production operations.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety, cleanliness, and organizational guidelines within the manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to perform detailed visual inspection work with a strong eye for detail.
  • Ability to read in English to follow tablet-based instructions and document findings.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on role that requires standing and moving throughout the entire shift.
  • Experience with basic quality inspection or quality control activities in a production environment.
  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a positive, cooperative attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with wiring and assembling components in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in quality control, quality assurance, or quality inspection.
  • Familiarity with visual inspection techniques and basic quality checks.
  • Exposure to measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, even though they are not used in this role.
  • Experience working with systems related to quality processes, such as RMA (return material authorization) or Oracle-based systems.
  • Ability to work accurately in a detailed, process-driven environment.

Work Environment

You will work on the production floor, rotating among up to 10 stations, standing and moving for the entire shift while performing hands-on, visual inspections. The position is contract-to-hire on the first shift, with typical hours from 5:00 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. The work involves using a tablet to follow inspection instructions and record results, and interacting regularly with production personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
