The Quality Control Technician performs advanced quality functions to support manufacturing operations, new product launches, and customer requirements. In this role, you lead problem‑solving efforts, support PPAP submissions, participate in ISO activities, and perform advanced CMM and fixture inspections. You take ownership of quality performance for assigned product lines, conduct detailed inspections using precision measurement tools, and interact with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure high standards are consistently met.
This role is based onsite every day at a large, approximately 250,000‑square‑foot manufacturing facility on the southwest side of Indianapolis. The environment is notably clean, organized, and comfortable for a manufacturing setting within the automotive industry. The facility is not very loud, maintains good temperatures, and provides ample space with equipment thoughtfully spaced out to support safe and efficient operations. The production floor includes shipping and receiving, packaging, forming, welding (brazing and soldering), lathes and mills, pressure testing, and other specialized areas, all integrated into a well‑organized process. The culture emphasizes teamwork, trust, and low levels of micromanagement, with many long‑tenured employees who are willing to share their knowledge and support others. The company offers a positive, people‑focused atmosphere with employee appreciation events and outings, and the work is engaging due to the variety of complex, high‑quality products produced for customers. This position works a 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. shift, performing quality checks throughout the process on metal materials, specifically focusing on tubular metal and sheet metal. The dress code aligns with a typical manufacturing and production environment, with appropriate attire and safety considerations for working on the shop floor.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.50/hr.
