Aerotek is hiring entry-level Inspectors for Quality Check and Medical Device components in San Diego, CA. This contract-to-hire role pays $18.75–$19.50 per hour, with full benefits and weekly pay. You will inspect parts in a clean-room environment, read drawings, and document results in Excel.

Training and cross-training in quality/packaging are offered. The position requires a high school diploma, exposure to inspection tools, and the ability to stand for long periods in a fully onsite setting

Qualifications

• Entry level with 0–1 year manufacturing/quality inspection ideal.
• Experience with microscopes, calipers, micrometers and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and data entry skills; attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Inspector 2 is responsible for performing detailed visual and dimensional inspections on parts and products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves using tools such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment in a clean-room manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products for quality and compliance.

• Working under a microscope for 8 hours per day.

• Perform visual inspections and dimensional measurements using precision tools.

• Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and mechanical drawings.

• Record inspection results accurately in Excel and quality systems.

• Identify and isolate non-conforming products.

• Support audit activities, 5S initiatives, and safety programs.

• Assist with specialized inspection processes, including FPI as needed.

• Cross-train in quality and packaging functions and support team training.

Clean-room, micro-electronics manufacturing setting requiring the use of inspection tools, handling small components, and following strict quality and contamination control procedures. Standing or sitting for extended periods may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $19.75/hr.
