Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Quality Control Inspector in Thornton, CO, to inspect incoming materials and in‑process components against quality standards and drawings. You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier partners in a fast-paced environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will calibrate and maintain measurement tools, document results, and participate in NCRs and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections on raw materials and work‑in‑process parts.
• Review and maintain incoming material history records to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product conformity.
• Create and maintain inspection templates while ensuring documentation aligns with current drawing revisions and specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
• Initiate and complete non-conformance reports (NCRs), including root cause details and corrective action recommendations.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
• Prepare and clean parts for cleanroom applications following established procedures.
• Calibrate, audit, and maintain precision measurement equipment to ensure inspection accuracy.
• Support qualification and validation of new inspection and testing equipment.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects related to quality, manufacturing, and inspection processes.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and in-process components to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier partners in a fast-paced production and prototyping environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Height gauges
• Optical inspection equipment
• Ability to perform and document incoming, in-process inspections
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Basic understanding of machine shop mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thornton, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
