Job summary

Cadrex is seeking a Quality Inspector I to support site manufacturing by applying quality concepts and methodologies to ensure customer quality expectations are met or exceeded.

The role involves blueprint reading, visual inspection, in-process and finished goods testing, and documentation of results. Candidates should have a high school diploma and hands-on inspection experience in a metal fabrication setting.

Qualifications

• Understand industry safety standards and quality expectations.
• 1+ years in metal fabrication with hands-on inspection preferred.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Strong basic math for measurements and unit conversions.
• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, email and the internet.

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices to inspect parts per specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and customer requirements.
• Visually inspect products and test in-process and finished goods.
• Document inspection results in reports/logs.
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming product.
• Generate non-conforming reports for discrepant items.
• Maintain measurement equipment and address repair needs.
• Inspect and approve incoming materials when needed.
• Attend department meetings as required.
