Job summary

O-I in Lapel, IN is seeking a Quality Inspector to determine the quality of ware by inspecting bottles on lehr and light stations, performing FPX-related tests, and ensuring continuous production flow.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, is paid hourly, and offers benefits such as vacation time, healthcare, and retirement plans. Candidates must be 18+ and able to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of automatic inspection equipment and perform minor adjustments.
• Prepare quality reports and inform shifts foreman and forming department of defects.
• Handle cull/ dump decisions and save defect samples for corrective action.
• Review job cards and cavity reports to understand quality requirements of assigned jobs.
• Complete at least 1 HAZ-ID per month and monthly Skillsoft assignment.
