Job summary

Unusual Machines in Orlando, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to monitor in-process and final inspections of hardware, electronics, and mechanical components, ensuring conformance to engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.

You will work closely with production and engineering teams, recording results in the QMS, identifying nonconforming products, and supporting continuous improvement while maintaining calibration and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections at defined production checkpoints for hardware, electronics, and mechanical components.
• Verify assemblies, PCBs, cable harnesses, and components meet engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Record inspection results in the QMS and maintain traceable records.
• Identify nonconforming products and initiate NCRs with proper tagging and disposition.
• Communicate defect findings to production and engineering for real-time corrective action.
• Support first article inspections and ensure adherence to ESD and safety requirements.
