Job summary

MicroVision seeks an Operations Quality Technician in Orlando, FL to safeguard product quality on the production floor through inspections, measurements, and containment of quality issues. Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T.
• Proficiency with manual precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Experience with ISO 9001 QMS and MS Office/ERP or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, including soldering, and final inspections against drawings, specs, and work instructions.
• Operate and maintain precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, vision systems, CMMs, and test stations).
• Conduct FAI and support layout inspections for new parts, suppliers, and engineering changes; record results with traceability.
• Identify, document, segregate, and tag nonconforming material; initiate NCRs in the QMS.
• Lead containment actions, support MRB activities, and assist engineers with root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D) and CAPA verification.
• Perform process audits, LPAs, and product audits; monitor SPC and ensure calibration of inspection equipment.
• Assist in PPAP documentation, inspection reports, and certificates of conformance; draft/update inspection instructions and visual aids for operators.
• Promote Lean, Six Sigma improvements; support supplier quality and ensure a safe, ESD-compliant environment.
