Job summary

Instrument Development Co is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform complex geometric dimensional inspections on received, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. The role supports the Quality Manager in maintaining ISO 9000 compliance and accurate inspection records.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, apply GD&T standards, and operate CMM equipment (PC-DMIS/Calypso) and traditional measuring tools to verify tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Experience with precision measurement tools.
• Ability to stand and perform inspections.

Responsibilities

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications and performing tests.
• Approve in-process production through measurement and CMM inspections; communicate adjustments.
• Approve finished products; document results and determine rework needs.
• Generate inspection reports and log data in quality database; record non-conforming materials.
