Contract Staffing Recruiters is seeking a Quality Inspection Technician in Middletown, CT. The role supports CNC operators and ensures parts meet specifications through GD&T, CMM, and vision systems inspections.

You will document results, maintain records, and help identify defect trends to drive process improvements within a team-focused QC environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading blueprints and CAD drawings with GD&T understanding.
• Experience performing first article inspections on production-ready parts.
• Ability to identify defects via visual and dimensional inspection and report trends.

Description du poste

• Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), with a deep understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) operation and inspection software.
• Ensure accuracy in first part inspections, assisting CNC Operators in the inspection process to validate product readiness for production.
• Identify and report any operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Document inspection results from CMM, Vision Systems and Comparators accurately.
• Utilize quality software to create and manage detailed inspection reports in alignment with company standards.
• Generate and maintain records of first article inspections and other quality metrics for review by leadership.
• Proficient in operating all gauges used on the Inspection Granite (i.e. Concentricity Guge, Height Gauge, Blocks, Sine Plate, and Dial Indicators).
• Proficient operating CMM, Comparators and Vision Systems to perform precise quality inspections.
• Ability to read blueprints, and CAD drawings, and have a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, while understanding the specifications and tolerances for each item.
• Ability to detect defects in items by visual and dimensional inspections.
• Work and communicate with other members of the QC team to identify trends in defects and recommend improvements in processes and materials.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by your supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
