Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Irvine, California is seeking a Quality Inspector 3 (Electronics) to perform in-process and final inspection of electronic sub-assemblies and systems, using IPC-A-610 and JSTD-001 standards and precision instruments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–6 years of electronics inspection experience, plus ability to read technical documents and communicate in English. Proficiency with IBM PC tools and MS Office is expected. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3–6 years electronics inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Experience with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 preferred.
• Proficient with IBM PC and MS Office suite; strong written and verbal English.
• Ability to perform in-process and final inspections and record data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Examines layout and installation of wiring, cables, subassemblies to detect assembly errors.
• Compares assembly with parts list for missing hardware.
• Visually inspects joints and soldering for defects.
• Measures dimensions and verifies conformance to specs.
• Performs 1st article inspection of subassemblies and assemblies.
• Witnesses in-process and acceptance testing of assemblies and systems.
• Records inspection data including serial numbers and defect percentages.
• Keeps inspection equipment and work stations clean.
• Operates tools such as solder irons, multimeters, microscopes as required.
• Adheres to IPC and JSTD procedures and safety guidelines.
