Core Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive visual, dimensional, and functional evaluations on spacecraft parts and subassemblies.
Verify that in-process and finished goods align with established operational methods, setups, and technical specifications.
Utilize advanced measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
Examine and validate the integrity of mechanical, electrical, and structural hardware.
Execute a range of assessments, from high-precision dimensional checks to general oversight of ongoing production tasks.
Exercise professional judgment to determine the acceptance or rejection of completed components and testing results.
Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, customer requirements, and technical inspection manuals.
Document and track non-conforming items while assisting in the investigation of potential root causes.
Perform incoming inspections on vendor-supplied materials to ensure they meet engineering and certification standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and enhance overall process efficiency.
Maintain thorough and accurate logs, reports, and inspection records.
Help maintain a high standard of quality by identifying necessary rework for malfunctioning or defective units.
Support the broader manufacturing team in upholding rigorous quality benchmarks throughout the production cycle.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or education within a quality assurance or inspection environment.
Proven proficiency in using precision measurement instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, and various gages.
Demonstrated ability to perform accurate inspections and contribute to reliable quality outcomes for the team.
Availability to work the 2nd shift schedule from 2:30 PM to midnight.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced computer literacy.
Proficiency in interpreting detailed control plans, work instructions, engineering drawings, Bills of Materials, and technical specifications.
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Proven ability to work as a team player to solve complex problems and manage shifting priorities.
Familiarity with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620.
Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, or electronic systems.
