Job Title: Quality Inspector

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Quality Inspector. The hourly rate is $18.94, based on skills, experience, and market considerations.

What You’ll Do:

Primary Function

Perform detailed inspections (form, fit, and function) to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications. Conduct final inspections of assemblies, raw materials, and purchased parts, selecting appropriate inspection methods and equipment.

Essential Functions

• Complete checklists, red tags, and process changes, ensuring signatures by certified personnel. Notify supervisors and managers of issues promptly to resolve CARs before shipment.
• Collect defect data, track for long-term resolution, and maintain defect records for historical analysis.
• Use and maintain inspection equipment properly.
• Review drawings, identify defects, and collaborate with relevant teams such as engineers and product managers.
• Support problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Verify assembly completion against specifications.
• Inspect parts with received withhold tags, identify nonconformances, and take corrective actions.
• Utilize measurement tools accurately.
• Refer to drawings, identify defects, and communicate with relevant departments.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
• Move materials using a pallet jack.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial setting.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Skills:

Position Criteria

• Effective communication across organizational levels and with customers.
• Proficiency with computers, internet, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read drawings, measure parts, and interpret measurement devices.
