Job summary

Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry is seeking a Quality Inspector for the first shift. The position starts at $20 per hour and involves inspecting finished castings to ensure they meet customer specifications, performing dimensional and visual checks, and documenting any defects for supervisor review.

Candidate should have strong attention to quality, the ability to read and follow detailed instructions, and knowledge of casting processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools, their uses and maintenance.
• Understanding of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of a casting.
• Ability to visualize how something may look after it is moved or rearranged.
• Ability to organize actions in a specific order or pattern according to rules.
• Attention to quality requirements is essential.
• Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.
• HS diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

• The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words pictures or mathematical operations).
• Attention to quality requirements is essential.
• Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
• Manual Dexterity and the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm or two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
• The ability to see details at close range (within few feet of the observer).

Job Type: Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
