Job summary

Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry is seeking a Core Finisher for the 3rd shift in Elyria, OH. This role performs finishing tasks on cast cores, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced foundry setting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of core finishing or foundry experience, can work independently, and follow detailed work instructions. The job involves physical work in a hot, dirty environment and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Perform flow coating and swabbing per procedure.

Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. Position: Core Finisher (3rd shift starts at 7:30pm)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare the core for finishing by removing core fins and any other
• Perform Baume test on all alcohol wash prior to utilizing wash.
• Perform flow coating and swabbing as per procedure
• Perform other duties as required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Handle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.
• Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs consistently and perform other heavy manual work in a hot and dirty environment

Job Type: Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
