Job summary

DAUCH is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Bluffton, Indiana. You will conduct end-of-line and incoming-material inspections, confirm product quality meets customer requirements, and work with supervision to solve issues.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, maintaining a safe, clean work environment, and readiness to work any shift with overtime as needed. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail required to inspect products and materials.
  • Excellent attendance and safety record with no frequent tardiness.
  • Able to walk, stand or sit for 8+ hours per day in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on products at end of lines and on incoming materials.
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate product quality concerns with supervisor and provide root-cause input.
  • Support production supervision with problem solving and containment actions.
  • Update supervisor with inspection findings and provide documentation as required.
  • Record all information in information systems or appropriate documents.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with company policies.
  • Be able to work in a manufacturing environment without distraction and be flexible for shifts and overtime.

Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct inspections on products at the end of lines, incoming materials and products according to procedures.
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer requirement
  • Communicate product quality concerns with supervisor
  • Provide support to production supervision for problem solving
  • Update supervisor with findings
  • Record all information required by containment plans, process cards and sample procedures, and input into information systems or complete appropriate documents
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment in line with company policies.
  • Be able to work in manufacturing environment without distraction
  • Availability to work any shift
  • Ability to work overtime as required or needed
