Job summary

Thogus in Avon Lake, OH is seeking an Inspection Operator to inspect and handle finished plastic parts from an injection molding press or offline assembly, ensuring conformance to customer specifications and packaging requirements.

The role includes operating processes, quality inspections, packing, labeling, and data entry in IQMS. We offer a sign-on bonus, multiple shifts, 40 hours guaranteed, PTO after 90 days, and comprehensive benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or plastics experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, safety notes and memos.
• Basic math and measurement skills; able to count, weigh and sort parts.

Responsibilities

• Review quality specifications and work instructions before starting.
• Operate processes per instructions and packaging requirements; modify parts as needed.
• Pack finished parts, label, and disposition into inventory using a scan gun.
• Perform final inspection to ensure conformance to customer specs.
• Count, weigh, and sort parts; assist in online/offline quality sorts.
• Label and package using IQMS; enter rejects and counts into system.
• Prepare and teardown cells; maintain housekeeping and safety practices.
• Notify supervisor of mold defects, machine issues, or safety concerns.
