Job summary

Hoffer Plastics is seeking an Inspector Technician for the 3rd shift to ensure high-quality molded plastic parts on our production lines. You will perform gauging, visual inspection, trimming, sorting, weighing, counting, packing, and maintain a clean 5S work area in accordance with safety policies.

The role requires attention to detail, proficiency with measuring tools, and good English communication. Training is provided to advance through levels and master SPC concepts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Competence in inspection procedures and the use of measuring equipment for your classification level.
• Ability to successfully complete the "C" level Inspector Technician training program.
• Good communication skills, including reading, writing and speaking English.
• Computer proficiency.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of molded plastic parts on our injection molding and assembly machines.
• Gauge parts, visually inspect, trim, sort, weigh and count.
• Keep a neat and orderly work area to 5S standards and follow safety policies.
• Prepare production tickets and operate the grinder; use production software at computer terminals.
• Assist with Level D/C/B tasks and communicate quality issues to foreman as needed.
