Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Quality Improvement Specialist to lead the design, direction and facilitation of systems that improve quality and patient safety across Mount Carmel owned facilities.

The role requires strong knowledge of quality management, experience with regulatory surveys, and the ability to travel to multiple sites while guiding performance improvement initiatives and staff education.

Qualifications

• Education: nursing degree required; master's preferred.
• RN licensure required.
• Minimum five years hospital practice; management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of quality management methodologies and performance improvement designs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support wholly owned facilities for regulatory licensure.
• Travel to multiple sites; off-site time 60%+ weekly.
• Assist in regulatory surveys (state and national).
• Facilitate process and system improvement across departments.
• Serve as QA liaison with CMS, ODH, TJC and others.
