Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to work with organizational leaders and multi-disciplinary teams to support quality improvement projects. The specialist will model and teach the principles of quality improvement and develop work plans for projects across the hospital.

The role involves collaboration with leadership, clinicians, and staff to implement, monitor and champion processes related to quality issues, with travel throughout the hospital as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in lieu of degree, RN/LPN licensed in state practice will be considered.
• 3 years clinical experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership, and knowledge of healthcare systems and quality improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop work/project plans for quality improvement initiatives.
