Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to join our Food Safety & Quality Assurance team. You will perform routine sanitation checks, enforce HACCP and USDA regulations, and track products from start to finish to identify issues and drive corrective actions.

You will monitor quality in your area, oversee sanitation, temperatures, GMPs, and document results. You’ll work closely with production teams, resolve issues, investigate root causes, and support QA programs through

Qualifications

• Knowledge of QA principles and food science.
• Experience with HACCP and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to create and interpret technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, including process, metal detection, cooking, and chilling.
• Identify out-of-spec products and collaborate with teams to fix issues quickly.
• Support HACCP programs and monitor critical control points.
• Assist with food safety documentation updates and regulatory adherence.
• Provide training and help with plant-wide QA initiatives.
