Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to join the Food Safety & Quality Assurance team. You will perform routine sanitation checks, enforce HACCP and USDA regulations, and track products from start to finish while driving corrective actions.

You will monitor quality, oversee sanitation, temperatures, GMPs, and training, collaborating with production teams to resolve issues and improve processes. This role requires strong written and verbal communication in English.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Internal candidates with 4+ years may have education waived.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, food science, meat processing, and USDA regulations.
• Able to create, interpret, and maintain technical documents and reports, with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Quality Verification: conduct routine inspections to ensure product quality and fix out-of-spec results.
• Quality Improvement: drive continuous improvement, address deficiencies, and support QA programs.
• Food Safety & HACCP Compliance: develop and enforce HACCP programs and monitor CCPs.
• Regulatory & Sanitation Oversight: ensure USDA compliance and perform sanitation checks.
