Smithfield Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to join our Food Safety & Quality Assurance team in a plant setting in the United States. You will perform routine sanitation checks and monitor HACCP compliance to ensure products meet our high standards.

You will work closely with production teams to identify issues, drive corrective actions, train staff, and maintain regulatory documentation. This role requires attention to detail and strong communication across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; English literacy required.
• For internal candidates with 4+ years with the company, educational requirements may be waived.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, food science, meat processing, and USDA regulations.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documents and reports.
• Experience using monitoring equipment and data analysis to respond to inquiries.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine inspections (process, metal detection, cooking, chilling) to ensure standards.
• Identify out-of-spec products and collaborate with teams to correct issues quickly.
• Drive continuous improvement, train staff and review specs.
• Develop and enforce HACCP programs and monitor critical control points.
• Ensure USDA regulatory requirements are met and assist with sanitation checks.
