Job summary

Eaton’s Sumter facility seeks a Quality Engineering Supervisor to lead a quality team and drive improvements in data center assembly processes and product quality.

You will perform root cause analysis, analyze scrap, rework and warranty data, and apply 8D, 5-Why and Ishikawa methods while supporting EQMS/ISO 9001 deployments.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and several years in manufacturing quality are required, with experience in audits and cross‑functional quality activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing/operations with quality focus.
• Two years in quality engineering or supervisory role.
• Experience with ISO 9001 audits.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, Pareto and Lean tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis to support problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate data to identify detractors of scrap, rework, warranty; implement error-proofing solutions.
• Support EQMS/ISO9001, ELS & MESH deployments.
• Serve as Internal Systems Auditor for process and systems audits.
• Lead Quality Council; identify improvement projects for customer satisfaction.
• Guide 8D teams and collaborate with Customer Quality Management.
• Interact with customers on-site to discuss production and quality results.
