Job summary

Eaton in Sumter, SC is seeking a Team Lead to partner with the Fabrication Supervisor and drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. You’ll train and support associates, resolve production issues, and ensure timely order execution while maintaining compliance with 5S and PPE policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 2–3 years of manufacturing or materials processing experience.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts.
• Experience with Work Instructions, forklift and measuring tape.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Preferred: prior coordinator/team leader experience; AS400, VISTA, DMM.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Fabrication Supervisor to drive safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
• Provide leadership by training others and resolving production issues.
• Promote a safe, inclusive culture and enforce PPE and 5S duties.
• Review orders, drawings, BOMs, and documentation; troubleshoot as needed.
• Give clear direction and align team with organizational goals.
• Oversee production to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
• Conduct spot checks to ensure quality standards.
• Facilitate training and cross-training for associates.
• Serve as back-up Coordinator and assist in interviewing candidates.
• Lead Tier 1 meetings and drive continuous improvement across shifts.
• Communicate with other shift leads and supervisors for smooth task transitions.
