Job Description

Our client is seeking a Quality Engineering & Process Manager in Springfield, MA. This role involves developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods to maintain quality standards. The manager will report to the Plant Manager and collaborate with Production, Operations, and Process Engineering teams to achieve quality goals.

• Develop and maintain the site's Quality Management System.
• Train and support production staff on quality procedures.
• Manage new product development processes.
• Implement and improve quality tools and procedures.
• Support chemistry/quality issues and liaise with R&D, Technical Service, Marketing, Sales, and Production.
• Lead proactive quality control initiatives and root cause analysis.
• Handle customer interactions regarding product performance issues.
• Analyze process data to troubleshoot quality issues.
• Conduct QC audits and maintain lab supplies.
• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
• Provide technical support for process improvements and new product development.

Job Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Resident.

Technical Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical) or equivalent with 4+ years in Quality/Process Management.
• Experience with continuous and batch processes, preferably in chemicals or related industries.
• Experience with QMS development and maintenance.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
• Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
• Ability to understand and develop cost models.
• Leadership potential and ability to travel up to 10%.
