Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wilson, NC is seeking a Manager of Quality Engineering to lead a skilled team focused on Quality Assurance. You will guide tactical and operational plans, drive continuous quality improvements, and coordinate with site and offshore stakeholders to report progress to top management.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive experience in quality initiatives, ISO 9001/AS9100 practices, and strong leadership abilities. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Proven track record of successfully leading quality initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
• Experience working in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor team with skills development, strategy and decision-making.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop a culture of Quality within the organization and site.
• Directs production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and driving improvements.
• Oversee plans, policies, and processes to achieve quality targets and sustain improvements.
• Lead RCCA activities for systemic issues and implement corrective actions.
