Are you a Quality Manager, QA Manager or QC Manager from a precision manufacturing / metalworking background looking to take real ownership of a plant quality function and lead a team through a major investment and growth phase?

On offer is a key leadership position within a long-established manufacturer that is investing heavily in new machinery and new projects, where you will have the authority to drive standards, develop people, and make a visible impact across production.

This business supplies precision metal components and assemblies to demanding, safety-critical industries and is known for long-term stability, strong investment, and modern working conditions including a clean, air-conditioned facility. As a result of significant funding and continued expansion, they are now looking to strengthen quality leadership to support incoming equipment and increased workload.

In this hands-on role you will guide and develop a small quality team (currently 6–7, with planned growth), oversee inspection and metrology activity, and ensure robust systems and compliance. You will be trained by the outgoing Quality Manager prior to retirement and will learn the company’s industry-specific press processes so you can upskill the team on new and existing equipment.

The Role:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a quality team (6–7 initially, with growth planned)
• Maintain and improve quality systems, compliance, and standards across manufacturing
• Hands‑on involvement with inspection, metrology, and delegation of work (CMM, gauges, calipers, micrometers)
• Support new equipment introductions and train the team on new and existing processes
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm (flexibility as needed)

The Person:

• Quality leadership experience within manufacturing (automotive strongly preferred; aerospace considered)
• Strong quality tools knowledge such as PPAP, SPC / capability, MSA / GR&R, and FMEA
• Metrology / inspection background within precision manufacturing or metalworking
