Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Meriden is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to own the quality function in a precision manufacturing/aerospace setting in Hartford, CT. You will lead the quality program, interact with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers, and drive continuous improvement while mentoring a quality team. Strong ISO 9001/AS9100/NADCAP experience is required and a BS degree is preferred/required depending on client criteria.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of experience in Quality leadership or management roles.
• Experience in ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or NADCAP quality environments.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred/required depending on client criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality management function across manufacturing and suppliers.
• Develop and manage processes ensuring product and service quality standards.
• Oversee internal and external quality audits.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of precision mechanical components and assemblies.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Communicate nonconformances and corrective actions with customers.
• Engage with suppliers on quality concerns.
• Mentor and develop Quality Inspectors.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the quality process.

Are you a hands-on Quality leader who knows that quality isn’t just about passing an audit—it’s about building a culture where doing things right matters?

We’re seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of its quality function.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being both a leader and a hands-on quality professional. You’ll oversee the quality management program while working closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, customers, and the inspection team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and oversee the company’s quality management function
• Develop and manage processes that ensure product and service quality standards are consistently met
• Manage internal and external quality audits
• Perform and oversee visual and dimensional inspection of precision mechanical components and assemblies
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues
• Communicate directly with customers regarding nonconformances and corrective actions
• Work with suppliers on quality-related concerns
• Mentor and develop Quality Inspectors
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the quality process

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring strong knowledge of quality control principles along with experience working within ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or NADCAP quality environments.

The ideal candidate will also have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with customers, and experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Experience: Approximately 10 years working in Quality
