Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Goodyear, AZ seeks a quality engineering leader to drive line quality support and supervise a team of quality technicians across two shifts. You will apply DMAIC methods to improve manufacturability and ensure conformance to specifications, while partnering with design, engineering, and supply chain to implement improvements.

The role emphasizes process capability, tool design for production, and proactive quality management with travel<10% as needed.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
3-5+ years of engineering experience preferred with mechanical aptitude.
Formal leadership experience preferred. Demonstrate an understanding and application of methodologies associated with project planning and experience working with collaborative cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of quality technicians across two shifts (3 direct reports).
Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, process capability of new product or extensions.
Provide recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions that relate to new or current processes.
Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events.
Ensure built in quality by using DMAIC tools: Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans.
Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines.
Partner with the Safety Teams to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements.
Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.
Maintain and update daily reports on plant quality metrics and compliance.
Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.
Provideoperational technical support for existing applications and processes
Responsible to assist in containment activities when reactive issues arise and ensure all customer issues (CAPA’s, etc.) are addressed, filed,and documented in a timely manner.
Support and/or lead the resolution of customer complaints
