Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Goodyear, AZ, is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead a team of quality technicians across two shifts, driving continuous improvement and ensuring conformance to specifications and performance standards.

You will collaborate with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other functions to implement DMAIC projects, develop process controls, and maintain daily quality metrics to support customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• 3-5+ years of engineering experience with mechanical aptitude.
• Formal leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement.
• Experience with quality systems and statistical methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality technicians across two shifts; coach, train, and develop staff.
• Interface with design, product engineering, and supply chain on manufacturability and process capability.
• Provide recommendations on design solutions related to new or existing processes.
• Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events and process system design activities.
• Ensure built-in quality using DMAIC tools and control plans.
• Develop specifications to procure production equipment or lines.
• Collaborate with Safety Teams to meet safety requirements.
• Create training materials and SOPs for production processes.
• Maintain daily plant quality metrics and compliance.
