Nidec Drives seeks a Quality Engineer Technician III to lead motor teardown failure analysis for field and production returns, and to support corrective actions across Corporate Quality, Engineering, Operations and Sales. The Quality Engineer Technician III is an experienced quality professional responsible for leading product failure analysis, supporting customer issue resolution, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as a key resource between Corporate Quality, Engineering, Operations, Plant Quality, and Sales, providing technical expertise, data analysis, and advanced troubleshooting support.
Advanced knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement systems, and test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.
Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently and within cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Occasional travel may be required.
Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, engineering technician, or related environment.
Experience conducting product failure analysis, quality investigations, and data analysis.
Experience supporting continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives preferred.
